We’re proud to launch Build Tour 2025 — a state-wide campus outreach initiative aimed at empowering students with digital skills, real-world tech exposure, and community-driven mentorship. This is a movement rooted in our belief that growth within a community should naturally lead to growth of society.
What is Build Tour?
Build Tour is a one-day event format that brings together expert-led sessions and hands-on workshops focused on website creation (with WordPress at its heart), content development, cybersecurity basics, and digital career readiness. Students not only learn how to build a website — they walk away with one live and functional by the end of the day, completely free of cost.
This is a transformative experience to help students build their digital identity and portfolio while still in college.
Why Build Tour?
As a local chapter of the global WordPress community, we’ve always believed in using open-source tools and knowledge sharing to bring about change. Our past efforts like EmpowerWP Bhopal, a Women’s Day event focusing on women in tech and content, aimed to uplift underrepresented voices.
As our community member Aditya often shares — he started WordPress Bhopal while still in his second year of engineering. It’s never too early or too late to start. What truly matters is getting the right information at the right time.
Build Tour is the next step. This time, our focus is on students — especially in Madhya Pradesh — to bridge the glaring gap between education and employability.
What Will Students Learn?
At the heart of the tour is website creation using WordPress — a platform that powers over 40% of the web today. But it’s not just about learning a tool — it’s about building a digital identity.
By the end of the day, every participant will:
- Create a live and functional website from scratch
- Learn about free domain & hosting, DNS setup, and WordPress basics
- Understand principles of cybersecurity, content strategy, and open-source contribution
- Interact with working professionals and local mentors
- Discover pathways to freelancing, personal branding, or digital entrepreneurship
And the best part — it’s all free of cost.
Target Audience & Format
- Who: Best suited for 2nd year and above students looking to enhance their practical knowledge & explore real-world applications of what they study.
- Where: Colleges and universities across Madhya Pradesh — not limited to Bhopal
- When: May to July 2025
- Format: In-person seminars + hands-on workshops

What we expect from the colleges is underlined in the ppt above. Overall, we would require basic support in form of logistics, gathering students, and providing us with space, preferably an auditorium/lab to conduct the event.
